Our Services

Traffic Impact Assessments

We prepare traffic impact assessments to show how a proposed development will affect the surrounding road network. Our reports outline potential issues, recommend solutions, and ensure the design meets Council and regulatory requirements.

Swept Path Analysis

We assess how vehicles move through your site to ensure safe and efficient access. Our swept path analysis checks that cars, trucks, and service vehicles can enter, exit, and circulate properly, meeting Australian Standards.

Traffic Management Plans

We develop traffic management plans to keep your site safe and efficient during construction or daily operations. These plans outline how vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists will move safely around the area.

Car Park Design

Design compliant, functional, and accessible parking layouts.

When is a Traffic Impact Assessment required?

A Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) is typically required when a proposed development is expected to generate significant vehicle movements, alter traffic patterns, or impact the local road network. It may also be requested by councils, state road authorities or as a condition of planning approval. It helps demonstrate that traffic, safety and accessibility issues have been properly considered and managed.

What is a Swept path diagram and when is it used?

A Swept Path Diagram (or Swept Path Analysis) illustrates the path of a vehicle (including its outer‐most and inner‐most swept trajectories) as it turns or manoeuvres within a site layout, driveway, loading bay or car park. These diagrams are used to check whether vehicles can safely navigate access ways, ramps, service vehicle areas, and ensure clearance to obstructions, walls, kerbs or neighbouring properties. Councils and road authorities often require them as part of the access design.

Can I request a swept path diagram as a standalone service without a full traffic report or development assessment?

Absolutely. We understand that not every project requires a full traffic or parking assessment. That is why we offer swept path diagrams as a standalone service — perfect for simple design checks, DA submissions, or compliance verification. Whether you just need turning templates for a driveway, loading bay, or access route, our team can prepare accurate, council-compliant swept path diagrams quickly and cost-effectively, without the need for a full report.

What information do we need from you to start a traffic engineering assignment?

To begin, we typically need:

  • A base plan or site layout (CAD or survey drawing) showing existing and proposed features (access points, curbs, ramps, walls, etc.).

  • Brief of the proposed development: land use, number of units/residents staff numbers, hours of operation, vehicle types, loading/service requirements.

  • For parking assessments: proposed parking supply, site constraints, locality context.

  • For swept path: vehicle types (cars, service trucks, waste collection vehicles, etc.), intended manoeuvres, and any clearance/design constraints.

  • Any relevant planning or council requirements or conditions.

With this information we can provide you a scope, quote, and timeline.
